CASE (Center of Advanced Medical Simulation and Education)

CASE is a multidisciplinary medical simulation center and aims to provide high quality education with various training methodologies by using state of art simulation systems. CASE consists of two departments; medical simulation training center and advanced endoscopic/robotic surgery training center. CASE offers different types of simulation based experiential learning via standardized patients, task trainers, surgical simulators, high fidelity manikins and virtual/augmented reality based serious gaming modules. CASE provides simulation based trainings for variety of medical specialties and interdisciplinary and inter-professional trainings. The courses have been developed for both undergraduate (medicine faculty students, nurses, paramedics, anesthesiology technicians etc.) and postgraduate (physicians, nurses, paramedics) trainees. In the process of undergraduate education, our goals are improving sensory and psychomotor skills of students with experiential and problem oriented education and increasing awareness of teamwork behaviors by inter-professional approach in realistic environments. Our mission is to increase patient safety and to minimize medical errors.
